Karly grew up on a hobby farm and apple orchard. In college, she minored in Spanish and has traveled to Mexico, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. She hopes to travel to Ireland, Italy, and Croatia.

Karly earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in speech-language pathology from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She has almost 2 years of experience working primarily with adults and elderly in a post-acute rehabilitation center and skilled nursing facility setting, but she has a passion for working with people of all ages. While in college, Karly worked with children ages 2 months to 5 years as a child-care provider at the YMCA. She then went on to work specifically with children on the autism spectrum at an ABA Learning Center. It was here where her interest in autism spectrum disorder (ASD), AAC, gestalt language processing, speech sound disorders, and language delays grew. Karly also completed her student externship at CI Wausau in 2023 and has been a full-time therapist here since May of 2025. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to music, playing with her dog, visiting family, reading, and completing 1000+ piece puzzles. Karly favors child-led therapy, enabling children to express themselves authentically while pursuing goals within a playful and natural setting. She is honored to be a part of the amazing team at CI!
